Bioshock Infinite

BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games. It was released worldwide for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms on March 26, 2013. Set in 1912, the game has the protagonist, former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, sent to the floating air city of Columbia to find a young woman, Elizabeth, who has been held captive there for most of her life. Though Booker rescues Elizabeth, the two become involved with the city’s warring factions: the nativist and elite Founders that rule Columbia and strive to keep its privileges for White Americans, and the Vox Populi, underground rebels representing the underclass of the city. Let’s again start with 1080p:

Again the Fury X appears more stable, despite lower FPS.

Again we see that the 295×2 despite averaging higher still has issues with frames lagging.

With Bioshock being a game that neither tasks VRAM nor CPU heavily, then this clearly has to be an issue with Crossfire and the framepacing algorithm.

Let’s see if it happens also at 4k.

Nothing obvious here.  Frametimes however do look good for the 295×2:

4K therefore suits the R9-295×2 on this game.  This is the complete opposite of Battlefield 4.
