Summary – Gold Award

At CES I played with a bunch of headsets in a variety of price ranges.  Overall there were plenty of headsets that no matter the price or feature point ended up feeling weak and cheaply constructed.  These Cloud II’s feel built to last and are very reasonably priced for all the included features and parts.  They feel built to be abused and keep running.  I think that really is the highlight of the product.  Yes the surround sound is decent for gaming though also not a clear improvement either. Yes for music they’re pretty good and the microphone is great.  However a gaming headset needs to simply work without any messing about and stand up to some gamer rage.  This headset delivers on those in spades.  What we’d like to see now is a more expensive unit with improved audio quality. For the price this is a winner.
