The razer software lets you tweak settings such as the small amount of backlighting.  The best feature of the software is the ability to map any key to any function:
customkeysThis is particularly useful for a small keyboard that doesn’t have space for dedicated macro keys.  Extra macro keys are undesirable anyway simply because they are typically not located close enough to comfortably use.  Individual profiles can of course be created for specific games and a gaming mode can be used to silence key presses such as the windows key or alt-tab etc.

In addition Razer’s software can track your use of both keyboards and mice, creating heatmaps of where your mouse is pointed and how often you press which keys. This is done for each game individually enabling you to remap keys for more efficient and hence competitive play:
