Monoprice is a name that we didn’t associate with monitors until recently when they jumped on rebranding the Yamakasi/Catleap Korean grey market monitors that were primarily 1440p IPS or variants thereof.

DSC_9070 copyThis wee beasty is a 30″ IPS running 2560×1600.  You might think that’s old and it’s just another 16:10 monitor just like the myriad of korean ebay specials or a Dell U30XX type.  Well you’d be wrong, this is a 120Hz capable monitor which is the first time we’ve seen anything above 1440p running 120Hz
