At CES 2014 Razer showed off a prototype of their new “Nabu” smart bracelet:

Wearable tech was big this year and this showed some promise and the Nabu aimed to cover a lot as it included a small info screen showing emails, phone calls, tweets and texts. However it’s far more than a bluetooth enabled display as it also has sensors including an accelerometer, an altimeter, and a cylindrical vibration motor. All that stuff is kinda handy for workouts but also as a game or phone controller. Imagine a Wii controller but wristband sized. Imagine moving your hand to change tracks or dismiss a phone call. It can also keep note of your movement for tracking workouts (or even sleep data). We like where this one is going.

The other prototype was an easy to assemble modular PC. Essentially rather than an end user having to upgrade their entire computer they could simply swap out a part of it when they needed to upgrade or expand. The very early prototype looked cool but it’s hard not to think that most PC’s are already modular and easily expandable to anyone with pretty basic technical skills:

Allegedly it will be cooled by mineral oil but this is such an early stage that almost anything is possible for this product.
