Core Cooling Performance – 3.5/5

Aqua Computer performs at the bottom of the group.  While the temperatures are very acceptable, it does not make for a compelling story either!

VRM Cooling Performance – 5/5

No matter which version you choose Aqua Computer know how to handle VRM temperatures.

Restriction – 4.5/5

While this isn’t the least restrictive block, it is still a good performer.

Mounting Hardware – 3.5/5

One screw was missing and the standard block screws could have been shorter to enable more mounting pressure.  The backplate screws also could have been black to match.  They were however high quality.

Backplate – 3.5/5

The backplate finish is great, it feels like a quality piece of kit and performance is great too.  But the lack of compatbility is a major issue.

Aesthetics – 4.5/5

Aqua Computer as always produced some really nice block options.  Our preference is the nickel/plexi version but they all look great.  The only thing we can knock is a lack of color options on the backplate and screws that didn’t match the backplate color.

Quality – 4.5/5

Near perfect- our only niggle was some of the milling on copper that was hidden from view.

Summary

Exceptional VRM performance, good restriction and average core cooling all wrapped up in a beautiful package.  Our biggest disappointment though was the compatibility concerns that means that some will not be able to use this block with or without the backplate.
