Conclusion
I love the feel of this block and I love that DD went for a non standard internal design in the quest for more performance. It’s chunky and probably the heaviest block out there. It feels like it means business and it comes with adjustable bow via the shims. The mount feels great even though it could really benefit from custom machine screws that would fit from the front of the board. Sadly the same mount that is a joy to tighten doesn’t actually perform that well and is the dominant reason why this block performs poorly. When using the CPU-380 mount it performs a little above average. When using the default mount it’s the worst block out of the current designs.
I wanted to love it, but the performance just isn’t there – 6/10
