At first glance the XSPC RX360 V3 appears to be one of the average performers of the group with an averaged performance factor score of 90.5. A second glance shows that it was one of the worst performing thick radiators.  What this fails to translate is that this is a radiator tuned for performance at low fan speeds – something which doesn’t translate well into a good “average” score.  Despite that the RX v3 held serve even at higher airflows.

The major criticism of the RX v3 is not that it’s bad, but that the older RX v2 seems to be better.

The restriction level was extremely low so installing multiple RX360 V3’s in a loop will not be an issue on flow rates.

Features & Quality – 4.5/5

The RX360 V3 impressed with the build quality and the finish. Both the core construction and the housing including tank ends are well made. It feels solid and weighty with no flimsiness or rattles. 2 alternative ports are built into the end tank offering flexible installation options; however no bleeder port is fitted. The matte black paint finish is perfect and really finishes off the radiator nicely.

Summary 

XSPC have produced a radiator with a specific tuning for low speed fans. It does not perform particularly well with medium to high speed fans though and that hurts it’s average score. For low speed fans the RX v3 is cheaper and has more ports than the Nemesis GTX/SR1. For these reasons the RX gets a Silver award – a great but not perfect radiator. If you’re looking for a quality radiator only for low fan speeds which is well priced then look no further.
