Push Performance – 3.5/5

Alphacool have managed to get the tuning on the UT60 extremely well balanced across the range. This makes for a high performance radiator over a wide range of gpm/rpm combinations.

Overall Performance

The UT60 is a good all rounder with no real weak spots.  While having an above average performance, it never really threatens the top at any point either.

UT60 - APF All b

The UT60 is also really low in flow restriction and even more so at higher flow rates compared to the other radiators in the test group.

Features & Quality – 4/5

The UT60 sports the most amount of G¼ ports, making it super versatile for installations – having 3 inlet port options & 3 outlet port options to choose from. Adding a fill/bleed port is another great feature. The inbuilt screw stoppers add some “insurance” for the core during installation and are another great inclusion. The fin count of 10 FPI means that you’ll be doing less maintenance due to dust build up on the fins. The radiator feels solid and weighty and looks to be well constructed. The paint finish on the supplied sample does have a few minor blemishes, however that was the only thing that was I could fault externally on the UT60 sample.

One downside about Alphacool radiators is the excessive material that was left internally from manufacturing process. All soldered tube radiators have some residue that must be flushed – it’s just one of those chores that must be done when preparing to install any new radiator to your loop. It’s just that Alphacool seem to have more than the other brands. With the recent launch of specialty radiator cleaning fluids, this chore has been made easier and with far better results than we used to be able to achieve.

Summary

A good performing all rounder with great features and decent quality. A high flow radiator and a solid choice from Alphacool that proves that not much has changed since 2011.
