Underneath the tray is the power supply which can be mounted with the fan up or down. Initially this orientation seemed wasteful because of the space above it. However CaseLabs had a plan for that. Underneath the motherboard are predrilled holes and wiring cutouts for 2.5″ and 3.5″ SSDs/HDDs:

2 3.5″ HDDs and 4 2.5″ SSDs can be mounted here, which makes the need for the HDD cages in the other chamber somewhat questionable. Wiring will be tight though if you want to fully populate this. We would suggest a large SSD and no more than one mechanical just to make your life easy. If you’re building a RAID setup then use the HDD cage in the second chamber, or buy a NAS.

Once mounted the HDD is hidden away:

Large graphics cards are accommodated with ease as shown by this reference 7970 which has acres of space in every direction. This case would swallow up any of the long dual cards or tall benching cards with ease:

Above the GPUs are two tubing pass through holes. Grommets are supplied if you wish to use these to run an external radiator or chiller.

The top of the frame on this version is very open and that’s because this version (again for an upcharge) has a “drop in mount”. I.E. there is another plate that attaches to the top of the frame. Using such a plate to mount radiators makes life significantly easier. The radiators and fans can be setup seperatly outside of the case or taken out for cleaning. it also makes it easier to change graphics cards without tearing down the loop (assuming QDCs are also used).

Here we have the drop in mount for 2×360 radiators which costs $20 more than the default (free) 2×360 radiator mount that is part of the frame:

It’s worth spending that twenty bucks though just for an easy life. Once fitted even with a thick (63mm) RX360 radiator and push/pull fans there is still plenty of clearance for tubing and psu cables to the GPU:

Of course a matrix card coupled with a Monsta radiator might start to have issues in which case we’d suggest using an extended top and mounting one set of fans on top of the drop in mount.
